Dr.Brown-Johnson has been in the youth services, intervention, psychology and educational field for over fifteen years. She has worked as a government consultant for both previous and present administrations in an educational support capacity. Dr.Brown-Johnson has worked with Jamaican institutions island-wide from the primary through to the college level and also lectures at the Edna Manley College for the Visual and Performing Arts in Cultural Therapy, Dance History, Intro to Movement and Body Therapies and other courses. She was the Remedial Coordinator for the e-Learning project in 2008 through the Office of the Prime Minister; a project in which she was responsible for all the Government High Schools inclusive of the special needs institutions, for one year. Achievements include implementation and training support for all institutions resulting in advancements in computer literacy in each school. Dr. Brown-Johnson also assisted with the conceptualization and development of the e-learning screening test.
She has just recently concluded her PhD in Psychology and Metaphysics through the University of Sedona in Arizona and is currently the School Psychologist for St.Peter and Paul Preparatory School where she Heads the Guidance Department.
