“KEEP ON LIVING”
My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1998. She was a fighter and she fought for 14 years.
On February 1, 2012, she lost that fight. Losing my mother changed my life. I became even more fearless and driven to live my life with purpose. She would always tell me and my siblings to “Keep On Living,” meaning to never give up, follow your dreams, and stay true to who you are.
Today, I live by these words. I will always follow my dreams, I will never give up, and I will always stay true to who I am!
I encourage you to do the same!
I’ve written over 100 poems since 2012. Writing helps me cope with the passing of my mother to Metastatic Breast Cancer. She passed away at the age of 56. I’ve hand-selected 56 poems to publish. These poems will evoke emotions of grief, pain, courage, and strength. They will inspire you to start living your life with purpose and fearlessness. I’ve included one of my favourite poems to share with you all. It’s titled Keep On Living Part 1.

KEEP ON LIVING
PART 1
“Keep on living” is what she used to say. I never thought it would be a memory to this day.
“Keep on living” is engraved in her headstone. I never thought this saying would be forever lived on.
“Keep on living” is what I plan to do! I will always remember this saying in whatever I pursue.
